Vemulawada Goshala Gets Modern Sheds
Karimnagar: Government chief whip and Vemulawada MLA Adi Srinivas said that all kinds of necessary steps were being taken to provide quality food and fodder to oxen in the Goshala of Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple.
The MLA, along with collector Sandeep Kumar Jha, inaugurated the modern Goshala sheds built at `66 lakhs and laid a foundation stone for the construction of two more sheds to be constructed at a cost of Rs 50 lakhs at Vemulawada of Rajanna Sircilla district on Saturday.
As part of fulfilling 'Kode Mokku' ritual, devotees donate oxen to the temple as an offering to the presiding deity.
Recently, on the recommendations of a committee led by the collector, the temple management has distributed oxen to poor farmers for agricultural purposes.
The MLA promised that the oxen and cows would be provided with all necessary facilities at the Goshala.
Later, the government chief whip made a surprise visit to the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College for Women and inspected its kitchen and enquired with the students about the facilities and instructed the officials concerned to follow the menu strictly and provide quality food to the students and to maintain proper sanitation in the college.
