Veterans Day Celebrations culminated with grand conclave at Secunderabad
Hyderabad: Veterans Day Celebration 2025 was culminated with a grand conclave at Secunderabad on Tuesday.
The celebration was organised under the aegis of Telangana and Andhra Sub Area (TASA) which included a job fair, medical camp and veterans outreach programme for resolution of their grievances from January 10 to 14.
These events were attended by more than 2,000 Ex-Servicemen (ESM) during a period of four days. Impressively, more than 180 Ex-Servicemen and their dependents were shortlisted for job during the job fair at Golden Palm Sainik Bhavan.
Two ESM and one veer nari were handed offer letters on the spot. An estimated 700 Ex-Servicemen and their dependents attended the medical camp at MH Golconda and availed facilities of free eye and dental checkup and distribution of medicines by empanelled hospitals and Jan Aushadhi Kendra respectively.
The two days outreach with veterans for redressal of grievances was also well subscribed and more than 1500 ex-servicemen availed benefits in terms of, on the spot resolution of grievances, digital life certificate (DLC) by face authentication and recording of their grievances for speedy resolution.
Veterans Day Celebration on Wednesday commenced with a warm welcome of all ex-servicemen and dependents, followed by felicitation of 20 veer naris by Shyamanjali Misra, Chairperson Family Welfare Organisation, TASA, a key note address by Major General Ajay Misra, General Offer Commanding (GOC) TASA and Vote for Thanks by Lt Gen K Surendra Nath, PVSM, AVSM, VSM (Retd). The event culminated with high tea for the attendees of the event followed by lunch for all.
