Warangal: Fake certificate racket busted, 8 arrested

Warangal: The Mattewada police busted a fake certificate issuing racket and arrested eight members of the gang and seized fake documents, rubber stamps and materials used for preparing fake certificates and mobile phones from their possession in Hanamkonda on Wednesday.

Disclosing the facts to the media, Mattewada inspector T. Gopi said the eight accused were identified as Hastham Satish, Juluri Chakrapani, Govindu Satish, Mohammad Azharuddin, Syed Sabeer, Makula Damodar, Kasetti Kamalakar and Manyam Siddaiah along with Samudrala Kiran Kumar who prepared fake rubber stamps in the name of government officials. All are residents of Warangal and Hanamkonda cities.

The main accused, Hastham Satish, who was running a finance business joining hands with Chakrapani started the illegal business of preparation of forged certificates in the name of Hanamkonda and Warangal tahsildar’s name and started selling them for higher prices.

With the complaint lodged by the Hanamkonda tahsildar, a case was registered. The police nabbed eight members of the gang.
