Warangal: Warangal West MLA Naini Rajendar Reddy emphasised the importance of mental peace and freedom for individuals, likening it to the free flight of kites, while inaugurating the Kite Festival at the Arts and Science College ground in Hanamkonda on Monday.

Accompanied by his family, city mayor Gundu Sudharani, district Congress president Errabelli Swarna, and local children, the MLA actively participated in the festival.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Naini Rajendar Reddy highlighted the cultural significance of Sankranti in Telugu traditions, describing it as a festival that embodies the values of Sanatana culture. He reaffirmed the Congress government’s commitment to implementing developmental programs and welfare schemes in an environment that fosters freedom and opportunity for all.
The MLA urged parents to ensure the safety of their children while flying kites, particularly on rooftops, by supervising them and taking necessary precautions. Extending his Sankranti wishes, Reddy hoped the festivities of Bhogi, Sankranti, and Kanuma bring prosperity and happiness to everyone.
