Two trucks catch fire after collision, driver injured on NH 63

NIZAMABAD: One of the drivers was severely injured after two lorries coming from opposite directions collided on national highway 63 near Perkit in Armoor on Saturday. Due to the impact, a fire broke out in the truck which was on its way to Visakhapatnam from Gujarat with granite load. However, the driver escaped unhurt and two others in the vehicle were also rescued by passersby.

The other lorry, which was coming from Karimnagar to Nizamabad, was also damaged in the accident. Its driver sustained serious injuries. Fire tenders rushed to the spot and doused the fire from the vehicle. Armoor SHO Ravi Kumar, SI Ashok Kumar and others rushed to the spot and cleared the traffic on National Highway 63 near Perkit.
