Vanitha elected as Kamareddy municipal vice chairperson

KAMAREDDY: Urdonda Vanitha, the councillor representing Ward 16, was elected as the new vice chairperson of Kamareddy Municipality on Friday. The election process was held during a meeting convened by Kamareddy revenue divisional officer Ranganath Rao and municipal commissioner Sujatha.Vanitha's win was a unanimous decision, with a majority of the councillors present expressing their support.

This comes after Congress councillor Gaddam Indu Priya's election as the municipal chairperson on April 16.

Following the announcement, adviser to the state government Mohammad Ali Shabbir extended his congratulations to Vanitha. It's important to note that 30 out of the total 49 councillors attended the meeting, exceeding the required quorum of 26 for the vice chairperson election.
