Violations Found at Tomato Sauce Units

Hyderabad: An inspection of tomato sauce manufacturing units at Nacharam and Jeedimetla has revealed that food handlers who were employed at the facilities had no medical fitness certificates.

The inspection was conducted by a task force team led by the Commissioner of Food Safety on Monday at JL Continental Sauce’s Sri Jyothi Food Industries at Nacharam, and Sipp Tomato Sauce’s Agarwal Food Products at Jeedimetla.

The manufacturing facility of Agarwal Food Products also lacked insect-proof screens on their premises to prevent pest entry.
