Paris: The Indian Olympic Association has decided to fly back Indian wrestler Antim Panghal and her support staff from Paris due to a major disciplinary breach during the Paris Olympics 2024, where she handed her official accreditation to her sister.

In a statement, the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) said that Antim Panghal and her support staff breached disciplinary rules, which was reported by French authorities.
"Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has decided to fly wrestler Antim Panghal and her support staff back after a disciplinary breach was brought to IOA’s notice by the French authorities," said an official statement.

French authorities raised a complaint with IOA that Antim Panghal gave her accreditation to her sister to help her enter the Olympic Games Village.

“Antim Panghal gave her accreditation to her sister to help her enter the Games Village on her accreditation. French authorities complained to the IOA, and that’s why she will be sent back to India with her support staff,” the statement added.
