Copa America 2024 has moved into quarterfinals and unlike other major tournaments, there won't be extra time in the knockout stages.

There will not be extra time in the quarterfinals as well as in semifinals which means if the match is undecided after 90 minutes of play plus added injury time, it will proceed directly to a penalty shootout.
When it comes to the Copa America finals scheduled for July 14, a 30-minute extra time will be allotted if the match is tied after regular time.
Argentina and Canada have made it to the quarterfinals from Group A. Venezuela and Ecuador made it to quarters from Group B. From Group C, Uruguay and Panama made it to knockouts. Columbia and Brazil are the nations for Group D who made it to last 8.
Surprisingly, The host United States failed to qualify for the knockouts. Mexico and Chile are the other major teams who did not manage a spot in quarters.
The defending champions Argentina will take on Ecuador in the first quarterfinals.
