Dhaka: Pakistan fans were outraged and expressed their anger destroying television sets after their team’s disastrous loss against Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Team India in the Asia Cup on Saturday.

Now a heart-broken fan has urged Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and former skipper Imran Khan to give him a chance to play for the national team and he will teach Dhoni, Virat Kohli and the rest of the Indian cricketers a lesson.

The Dubai-based fan who posed a video on Facebook that garnered close to 40,000 shares has vowed to smack sixers without even wearing gloves and a helmet.
I join my hands, give me a chance to play just one match against Team India and if I don’t smash sixes I will cut these hands,” he said in the video.

Television channels showed some of them raising slogans against the Pakistan Cricket Board and players demanding their ouster while in some other parts of the country disappointed fans broke television sets with sticks.

Reports said that in some areas of Punjab, angry fans had burnt effigies and posters of captain Shahid Afridi and other players.
However, Pakistan chief selector Haroon Rasheed is confident that they can still qualify for the final in the ongoing Asia Cup.
I told them they have the capability of winning their remaining matches in the Asia Cup and setting up another encounter with India in the final where they can make amends for the defeat in the group match," he said.
