This is epic! Restaurant in Karnataka trolls Virat Kohli's RCB in a brutal way
RCB fans had created a slogan in Kannada named E Saala Cup Namde' which translates to This year the Cup is ours' which went viral.
Mandya: Fans have big expectations from their teams before every Indian Premier League (IPL) season kicks-off. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is one such team with a big fan base and for a decade now, fans haven’t caught a glimpse of the team lifting the trophy despite Virat Kohli and co reaching three finals.
But the current season provided a lot of optimism and RCB fans were confident about their chances in the current campaign. So much, they created a slogan in Kannada named ‘E Saala Cup Namde’ which translates to ‘This year the Cup is ours’.
The tagline soon started trending across social media platforms and a restaurant Harsha Cafe in Karnataka also started using it on their bills to keep their business rolling in association with their support for the IPL franchise.
However, as RCB currently find themselves struggling in the IPL table, languishing at the seventh position with five losses, fans have given up hopes about qualifying for the playoffs and now even, Harsha Café.
After the team's terrible run, the restaurant situated on VV Road Mandya has changed the tagline on the bill from ‘E Saala Cup Namde’ to ‘Next Saala Cup Namde’ which reads ‘The Cup will be ours next year’.
