Yuvraj demands serious action', Western Union apologises to Hazel
Western Union had refused to give the model-turned-actress her money because her name was 'not Hindu enough'.
Mumbai: Western Union has issued an apology to Hazel Keech, cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s fiancée, who was denied money on communal grounds.
The model-turned-actress took to Twitter on Tuesday saying that an official named Peeyush Sharma had refused to give her money because her name was “not Hindu enough”.

Following her series of tweets, India’s World Cup-winning hero, Yuvraj Singh had demanded “serious action”.

Western Union issued an apology on Thursday saying, “We regret the inconvenience caused to Hazel Keech when she was collecting a remittance at a Jaipur agent location. We are investigating the matter and will take suitable action.”
“We are pleased that Ms Keech received her remittance at another agent location. We value the trust that she and other consumers place in Western Union,” concluded the statement from financial services and communications company.
