Charulata Patel had been picked up by a cameraman when she was honking a trumpet in support of the Indian team
Mumbai: After winning their match against Bangladesh, Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Man of the Match Rohit Sharma went to see the Indian fan who had been making headlines everywhere.
The fan, an 87 year old woman named Charulata Patel had been picked up by a cameraman when she was honking a trumpet in support of the Indian team during the match.
The lady, not actually an Indian by birth, was there to support her national team regardless, and showed no hesitation or lack of enthusiasm throughout the game.
After taking her blessings, Virat Kohli said this on Twitter-
"Also would like to thank all our fans for all the love & support & especially Charulata Patel ji. She's 87 and probably one of the most passionate & dedicated fans I've ever seen. Age is just a number, passion takes you leaps & bounds. With her blessings, on to the next one,"
