Twitter's livid! Hardik Pandya slammed as India lose Test series in England
Sunil Gavaskar had also questioned Pandya's all-round credentials following India's defeat at Southampton.
Southampton: 4 runs with the bat and one wicket, conceding 85 runs, with the ball. Hardik Pandya failed to repeat his Nottingham Test heroics, where he scalped five wickets and scored an unbeaten fifty, as England defeated Virat Kohli-led India by 60 runs, chasing the 245-run total, in the fourth Test in Southampton to clinch the five-match series on Sunday.
The Indian Twitter users came down heavily on Pandya following India’s defeat at the Ageas Bowl on the fourth Day of the fourth Test.
Hardik Pandya is like the parody account of Jacques Kallis #ENGvIND

What is hardik pandya's strongest strength? For example if you take away bowling from stokes he still can play as specialist batsman and vice versa, woakes if you take away batting from him can still play as pure bowler. Where does pandya stand in tests??? Not convincing yet

We Need A Proper Middle Order Batsman At No. 6. Hardik Pandya Is Not Meant For It. When Will Team India Realise It? #IndvsEng #INDvENG #ENGvIND

Once upon a time India's No. 6 batsman was the legendary Laxman. Now, it is Hardik Pandya. This inglorious fall of the batting middle order is unacceptable. Bahut ho gaya nautanki!

Proud to share that KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya and I have contributed equally in this inning.

Don't think hardik pandya fits above any of these players & #TeamIndia are fascinated of #HardikPandya as a great AR #ENGvIND
Hardik Pandya has played all test matches in England. He is in team as a Batsman, Bowler or Showstopper ? ðŸ¤"

England has 4 All-rounder:
â–ª Ben Stokes
â–ª Chris Woakes
â–ª Sam Curran
â–ª Moeen Ali
All capable of winning Matches with both their Bowling & Batting.
And, we ?
We have our Star Model, Hardik Pandya, who seems like a bowler while batting & like a batsman while bowling. pic.twitter.com/VUuz72ESOq
Somebody tell Hardik Pandya that this a Mumbai Indians match at Wankhede.

Hardik Pandya is not and should not be a batsmen at 6. He doesn't have the temperament nor the technique for it. He may play well at that position in a one off match doesn't mean he is an ideal no. 6 #INDvENG

India played 8 Tests this year, so far. Only player to feature in all the 8 is Hardik Pandya. That's a serious backing a player can get, by Kohli's standards.

During the post-match show on Day four, former India captain Sunil Gavaskar was also critical of Pandya, who failed to prove his potential on the big stage.
“You want to call Hardik Pandya an all-rounder? Whoever wants to call Pandya an all-rounder, may call! But I don't think so,” Gavaskar had said.
