Here's the tweet! After Hardik Pandya, Kumar Sangakkara hails Rohit Sharma on Twitter
The former Sri Lankan skipper had earlier praised Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya for his 72-ball 78-run knock against Australia in Indore
Mumbai: Two fifties, a hundred, leading run-getter of the India versus Australia ODI series. Rohit Sharma did not do much harm to his reputation as Virat Kohli’s Team India clinched the five-match ODI series 4-1.
The Indian vice-captain could not score heavily in the first two ODIs in Chennai (28) and Kolkata (7) respectively. However, he scored 71, 65 and 125 in Indore, Bengaluru and Nagpur respectively against Steve Smith’s men.
While Sunil Gavaskar hailed India’s top three batsmen saying they are the world’s envy, Kumar Sangakkara has gone gaga about Rohit.
The Sri Lankan legend, who recently retired from First Class cricket after enjoying a fine run of form playing for English county side Surrey, took to Twitter to praise Rohit.
Sangakkara said, “@ImRo45 just keeps getting better and better. Graceful and devastating at the same time. Well played.”

Rohit had scored a match-winning 125 in Nagpur and alongside Ajinkya Rahane notched up their third successive hundred-run partnership as India won the fifth and final ODI by seven wickets at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Jamtha.
The former Sri Lankan skipper had also praised Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya for his 72-ball 78-run knock in Indore after he was promoted to number four ahead of Kedar Jadhav, MS Dhoni and Manish Pandey.
Kumar Sangakkara had then tweeted:
@BCCI seemed to canter to the series win. @hardikpandya7 is a very special player. India looks a complete side for all conditions
