Adam Gilchrist is all praise for Dhoni

New Delhi: Former Australia wicketkeeper-batsman Adam Gichrist had high praise for Mahendra Singh Dhoni saying the former skipper “plays every role to perfection and still has a lot to give back to the game”.
“I think the Indian team probably benefit more than they know by Dhoni’s experience and him just being around. I wonder whether people around undervalue his experience and calmness that M.S. brings to the change room,” Gilchrist said.
Dhoni gave up Test cricket three years ago to focus on the limited-over format and with the next World Cup scheduled in 2019, there is talk if the former skipper would still be around. “I think Dhoni is so versatile that he could possibly play anywhere between number 3 and 7 and still have an impact. So, this Indian team is full of options and flexibility and MS just adds to that as he has throughout his career.
“I am not aware of his statistics in the past 12 months or so but I don’t think he has let the team down when asked to do a job. I love Virat (Kohli) and all the Indian players’ passion and aggression. It’s always nice to be balanced up,” he said.
