IPL 2018: Chennai Super Kings welcome MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja

Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals are making a comeback after a two-year spot-fixing ban.

Mumbai: The player retention event for Indian Premier League 2018 took place in Mumbai on Thursday. Eight franchises came with the list of players they opted to retain for the 11th edition of the cash-rich league.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) who were making a comeback after a two-year spot-fixing ban, were also eligible to buy players who were part of their squads for the 2015 edition.

In more good news CSK has retained former Team India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja for the upcoming season.

After the announcement Chennai Super Kings social media handle Twitter welcomed the Thala (MS Dhoni), Chinna Thala (Suresh Raina) and Singa Kutty (Ravindra Jadeja) back in yellow colours.

With CSK being suspended for two years, Dhoni was signed by Rising Pune Supergiant for two years, while Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja played for Gujarat Lions.

After completion of the ban, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is finally back and the fans are looking forward to seeing the 'Men in Yellow' back at their den i.e MA Chidambaram Stadium.
