Mumbai: There can not be a better sportsman than Sir Garry Sobers to comment on another Barbadian Carlos Brathwaite, who hit four consecutive sixes against England to enable his West Indies team win the ICC World Twenty20 title at the Eden Gardens on Sunday night.

"I did watch the match on (TV) Sunday and the way this player sent the balls four times to the fence...May be he would have hit six sixes in that over had his team needed 36 runs off the last over," Sobers said.

Interestingly, Garry Sobers was the first man to enter in the record books to hit every ball in an over for maximum runs (Nottingham versus Glamorgan at the Swansea, 1968).

"That was a different game and every game has its own situation...but yes, Brathwaite would have definitely tried his best in this scenario. He would have been more powerful after first four sixes," he added.
