HCA's top two fire each other
Sheshnarayan claims Anil is unlawfully representing a club (Mahbub College) in which he does not hold a post and so is liable to be suspended.
Hyderabad: Battle for supremacy in the Hyderabad Cricket Association got uglier on Saturday with the Secretary and Vice-president (who is the acting president) suspending each other — both claiming it was done at the Apex Council meeting.
While vice-president Anil Kumar says secretary T. Sheshnarayan’s reply to the show cause notice issued to him in June was gross inadequate hence the suspension, Sheshnarayan claims Anil is unlawfully representing a club (Mahbub College) in which he does not hold a post and so is liable to be suspended.
Repeated violation of HCA byelaws and wilful contempt of the Justice Lodha Committee Recommendations as adopted by the General Body and violation of the orders passed by the High Court are other charges pressed against Anil.
Anil accuses Sheshnarayan of arbitrarily constituting a parallel selection panel and dispatching a parallel team to the recent KSCA tournament unliaterally without the approval of the Apex Council.
Both Anil and Sheshnarayan also accuse each other of unilateral functioning and taking whimsical, illegal decisions among other things. As things stand, it looks like they are headed for another legal battle.
