Surprisingly, India have found one bowler who could be another ‘Jasprit Bumrah’ for India as the 26-year-old made a remarkable debut in T20Is by claiming a record 3/17 figure.
It was a sluggish and slow pitch for the batsmen as they struggled to score runs freely. During the first innings, the Indian bowlers did a commendable job of restricting the West Indies batsmen to a below par score of 95 for nine.
India also found it tough to score runs, however the middle-order batsmen kept their nerves cool and calm to take India over the line with nearly three overs to spare.
India’s first T20I victory on Saturday meant that India became the second team after Pakistan to have won 50 or more T20I wins in an away series. This was India’s 50th win in the T20Is, a record which Pakistan used to possess earlier.
After playing 116 matches, India now have won 71 T20Is, registering an impressing win percentage of 63.27, only lesser than Pakistan who have 90 out of the 143 T20Is.
