In epic Twitter banter, Virender Sehwag asks UIDAI Aadhaar card for darji Ross Taylor
After Virender Sehwag initially trolled Ross Taylor, the New Zealand batsman also upped his banter game
New Delhi: Known as the ‘Nawab of Najafgarh’ during his playing days, Virender Sehwag has now emerged as the ‘Nawab of Twitter’ in the past couple of years. Not only does the former India opener post witty tweets nowadays, but also gets the better of banter exchanges.
After Sehwag trolled Ross Taylor a fortnight ago, the New Zealand batsman also upped his banter game, replying to the former India cricketer in Hindi on Twitter.
It all started when Sehwag praised Taylor for his innings against Virat Kohli’s Team India in the first ODI, calling the swashbuckling Kiwi ‘Darji’ which translates to ‘tailor’ in English.
Well played @RossLTaylor Darji ji . Great effort after handling the pressure of Diwali orders .#indvsnz

However, what Sehwag did not see coming was Taylor’s hilarious response in English, giving him a taste of his own medicine.
Thanks @virendersehwag bhai agli Baar Apna order time pe Bhej dena so Mai Apko agli Diwali ke pehle deliver kardunga ....happy Diwali

Taking on the banter, Sehwag lauded Taylor for his sportsmanship.
Hahaha Masterji , is saal waali patloon hi ek bilaang choti karke dena next diwali pe. Ross the Boss, most sporting :) https://t.co/FNpAwrWCB4

The Kiwi batsman came up with another award-worthy reply.
Has your Darji not done a good job this Diwali 😜?

Sehwag ended the banter on a good note by saying,
No one can match up to your high standards of stitching Darji ji , whether it is a pant or a partnership @RossLTaylor https://t.co/WDInvXL4EW

However, it did not stop there altogether as Taylor surprised his former Delhi Daredevils teammate once again. Post New Zealand’s win over India in the 2nd T20I on Saturday, the 33-year-old took to Instagram and resumed the banter rivalry.
The reply was Sehwag at his best, as he requested the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) to grant Taylor an Aadhaar card for his expectional Hindi skills.
Highly impressed by you @RossLTaylor . @UIDAI , can he be eligible for an Aadhaar Card for such wonderful Hindi skills. https://t.co/zm3YXJdhk2
