Mumbai: Rohit Sharma took to Twitter to clear the air about his exclusion from the Indian squad for the ODIs and Twenty20s against England.

The MSK Prasad-led selection panel on Friday announced Indian squad which did not feature the Mumbaikar. Rohit, who had to undergo a surgery following an injury to his right thigh after the conclusion of the New Zealand ODI series, is yet to gain full fitness. He also missed the five-match Test series against England.

Rohit, who has been a key member to Indian side, said that he is trying his best to be fit before the four-match Test series against Australia in February.

Rohit said:

Virat Kohli-led India will play three ODIs and three Twenty20 against England. Kohli, who is leading Indian Test side, was named India's limited-overs skipper after Mahendra Singh Dhoni stepped down from the position.
