Shane Watson, Harbhajan Singh make hilarious Yuvraj Singh-Shahid Afridi comparision
Harbhajan hosted some of his CSK teammates during the various episodes of the web series.
Mumbai: Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh is known for his witty replies and great sense of humour. The ‘Turbanator’ as he is called, had a fantastic 2018 Indian Premier League (IPL) campaign in which he was part of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) side who went onto lift the title after a gap of two years.
During the middle of the tournament, the veteran spinner launched a web show under the title of ‘Bhajji Blast' on Youtube.
Harbhajan has previously hosted some of his CSK teammates during the various episodes of the web series. Among the guest this time was veteran Australian all-rounder Shane Watson, who also played a crucial part in CSK’s title winning campaign.
Both players exchanged jokes on the shows and even trolled Yuvraj Singh and Shahid Afridi over their age.
Here's how the conversation goes -
Watson: How old were you during the 2001 Australia tour?
Harbhajan: 18
Watson: Are you referring to your 'cricket age' or birth age?
Harbhajan (laughs): Did you spend lot of time with Afridi?
Watson: Afridi has been 36 for about 7 years. That's a great effort.
Harbhajan: I will tell you a story. Me and Yuvraj have played a lot of cricket together. Under-14, U-16, U-19, I got overage and Yuvraj still continued to play,
Watson also remembered the days when he first came up against Yuvraj, particularly during the 2000 U-19 Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka.
"I have played against Yuvraj in Under-19 World Cup. He scored 50 odd runs off 20 balls. A year later, he played Champions Trophy in Kenya. He was so dominating," he recalled.
Too add some spice, Harbhajan tried to pull his leg. "Yuvraj is also like Afridi," he jokingly said.
