I'm sleeping with him tonight: Du Plessis says about Rabada
Rabada's seven-wicket haul helped South Africa defeat Australia in the first Test.
Perth: South Africa captain is more than happy with young speedster Kagiso Rabada, who played a major part in the Proteas’ 177-run win over Australia, at the WACA in Perth, on Monday.
The 21-year-old, who was playing only his eighth Test, took seven wickets in the match, five of which came in the crucial fourth innings, as South Africa bundled the Aussies out for 361 runs.
“I’m sleeping with him tonight,” Du Plessis was quoted as saying on Fox News.
“I’m just incredibly proud of him. I have a lot of respect for anyone that really, really puts their hand up and does the hard yards and KG just wanted the ball,” he continued. “Every time I said to him ‘KG are you tired, are you done?’ he was like ‘no, you’re not taking the ball out of my hands’.
“That’s the sign of a champion bowler for me. Just someone who wants to be in the fight the whole time.’’
