Cape Town: Team India skipper Virat Kohli is one of the fittest cricketers in the side. His extreme fitness level has set a benchmark for other members of the team to follow. The 29-year-old once again showed how important fitness is when it comes to playing long innings.
In the third ODI against South Africa in Cape Town, Kohli, who notched up his 34th ODI hundred, scored an unbeaten 160 off 159 balls to set up India's 124-run win.

During the post-match presentation ceremony, Kohli, who won the Man of the Match award, revealed how he managed to overcome cramps to play the marathon knock
"I was pleased from that point of view that I was able to bat through because I was struggling with a bit of cramp around the 90s. Then wickets kept falling, I decided to hit out, because I thought I might not have enough energy left,” he said.
The victory in the third ODI in Cape Town ensured that the Men in Blue have an unassailable 3-0 lead in the series and are just a win away from becoming the first Indian side to clinch an ODI series in the Rainbow nation.
