Mumbai: The ICC World Twenty20 fever is on and the first team to arrive in the Maximum City is New Zealand on Tuesday. All-rounder Corey Anderson posted a photograph in the morning on Instagram and said: “Good morning Mumbai!”

Anderson is not new to Mumbai.

He also plays for the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and hence, can be called a local boy.

The photo he clicked, that of Marine Drive, is likely from the rooftop of the plush hotel housing all teams for the mega event.

Though he only played four games last season but he ended up scoring two half-centuries out of them before an injury ruled him out. He fractured his finger.

Anderson is one of the players to watch out for this ICC World Twenty20 for his IPL and T20 exploits in the recent past.

Even in ODI, he broke Shahid Afridi’s long-standing record of a 37-ball 100. He achieved the feat in 36 balls before AB de Villiers surpassed him (31 balls).

New Zealand will meet Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Team India in Nagpur on March 15 for the opening rubber among the big guns.
