Watch: Michael Clarke, Brett Lee, Ravi Shastri, attempt 'Ishant game face challenge'
Former Australia and India cricketers tried to mimic the 'Ishant Sharma game face' challenge, bringing out quite a few interesting results.
Bengaluru: Ishant Sharma won over the internet with his game face, as he attempted to unsettle the Australian batsmen, especially skipper Steve Smith, in the first innings of the Bengaluru Test.
India came out on top in the closely contested match between the two bitter rivals, notching-up a 75-run victory with a little over a day to spare.
Apart from the top-quality cricket on show in the match, the players, who were under intense pressure, often expressed their emotions on the pitch.
However, Ishant Sharma took the cake with regards to who showcased the most animated aggression, while the lanky pacer was bowling to Aussie skipper Steve Smith.
A number of former cricketers from both Australia and India took it upon themselves, after the match, to attempt to recreate the ‘Ishant game face’.
The likes of Michael Clarke, Matthew Hayden, Brett Lee, Sanjay Manjrekar, Laxmanan Sivaramakrishnan, Ravi Shashtri, and Akash Chopra attempted to distort their respective faces to mimic that of Ishant Sharma.
