Mumbai: It seems like trekking has become Team India’s preferred method to unwind after playing out an exhausting game of cricket. Virat Kohli and Co went trekking in surrounding areas of Pune after losing the first Test against Australia by 333 runs to reinvigorate their campaign.
On Friday, Team India was spotted on a trek in an undisclosed location after beating Australia in Bengaluru to level the series 1-1. India’s premier bowler Ravichandran Ashwin shared a picture of the group on Twitter with the caption: “Going away from the battle is equally important as staying in it”. Indian cricketers Abhinav Mukund, Murali Vijay, Cheteshwar Pujara, Wriddhiman Saha and Karun Nair were also seen in the picture.
India captain Virat Kohli – who was missing in the picture – decided to give a miss to the trip to relax at home.
The third Test against Australia begins on March 16 in Ranchi.
