During the match, Rashid Khan claimed 6/49 to equal Australia's long-standing record of becoming the second nation to register two wins in Test cricket. The Rashid Khan-led team beat Bangladesh despite the rains and fading lights, to script a historic win for the war-affected country that became a permanent member of the International Cricket Council in 2017.
Rashid Khan who scalped 11 wickets during the match, stated, "We won this game against a side like Bangladesh. We are new to this format, so credit goes to the coaching staff for their support. Everyone applied themselves and stuck to their plans."
