Ranji Trophy: Tough road ahead for Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Hyderabad batsmen have a difficult job ahead as they need 216 runs more with 9 wickets in hand to win their Ranji Trophy Group ‘C’ match being played in Lucknow.
In the second innings, Andhra set a target of 219 runs before declaring on 171/6 as Md. Siraj and C.V. Milind snared 4 for 52 and 2 for 43 respectively. Former Hyderabad batsman G. H. Vihari led Andhra’s innings from the front as he played a captain’s knock of 57 runs. At stumps Hyderabad were 13/1 in 7 overs.
Earlier on Friday, resuming at their overnight total of 81/5, Hyderabad were bowled out for a modest 143 as the batsmen failed to stay at the crease for long against an incisive Andhra bowling attack.
