Guwahati: Australia pacer Jason Behrendoff had a match to remember in the second T20 against India here on Tuesday, after having finished with a match-winning spell of 4-21 from his four overs.
During the post-match press conference, journalists at the event burst into laughter when one of the journalists asked him about his comparison with WWE wrestler John Cena. The 27-year-old gave a perfect reply, saying that Cena was a “ fair bit bigger than me”, after which he concluded with, “but yeah, I will take that”.
John Cena, a famous WWE wrestler,is also known for his theme song " You can't see me now" apart from his wrestling performance.
When asked about his spell, he said, " It is an unbelievable feeling, to get to bowl four overs and pick up four wickets, mainly to get a win after a tough time in the one-dayers, it is very special ".
David Warner-led Australia defeated Virat Kohli’s India by eight wickets in the second T20 on Tuesday night, and have levelled the three-match series 1-1.
After putting India to bat first, it was a brilliant spell by Behrendorff which restricted the hosts to 118 in 20 overs.
In reply, despite losing the openers David Warner and Aaron Finch early, a 109-run partnership between Travis Head and Moises Henriques ensured that the Aussies crossed the finish line, with 27 balls to spare.
Both the teams will now fly to Hyderabad, where they will take on each other in the deciding T20 match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Friday.
