Vizag gears up for international cricket test match
City gears up for the international showdown, promises a memorable event.
Visakhapatnam: The city of Vishakhapatnam is getting set to host the second international cricket test match between India and England from February 2 to 6.
The decision was announced by ACI executive director SR Gopinath Reddy at a media conference on Thursday. District collector Mallikharjun, city police commissioner Ravishankar, DCP Srinivasarao, ACI CEO Shivareddy, CFIWO Naveenkumar and others were also present.
Gopinath Reddy highlighted the committee's commitment to ensuring a successful match. Club players from across the state, who can secure match tickets for a nominal fee of Rs 250, will have the opportunity to witness the game, he said.
Additionally, he emphasized the efforts to provide uninterrupted power supply during the match days.
The prices ranged from Rs 100 to Rs 500 for single-day tickets and Rs 400 to Rs 1,500 for the entire five-day season. Tickets can be purchased online through the PEETEM app or the website.
Offline counters at YSSR ACA–VDCA international cricket stadium in PM Palem and Swarnabharathi indoor stadium in MVP Colony will sell tickets until Feb 1.
The authorities have promised proper traffic management in and around the stadium and parking areas. Commissioner Ravishankar said necessary security measures would be in place.
Cricket enthusiasts and students keen on attending the match have been advised to get tickets and ID cards. The organising committee is working tirelessly to make the Vizag Test match a memorable event for cricket lovers
