IPL 2018: Here's MS Dhoni-led CSK's updated schedule post shifting home venue to Pune
CSK's home games were forced out of Chennai due to the ongoing Cauvery controversy.
Chennai: MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) home fortress was on Wednesday shifted from Chennai to Pune, with the Cauvery controversy heating up.
On Tuesday, during CSK’s match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), shoes were hurled at the MA Chidambaram Stadium here by three Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) workers, who were later detained for the incident.
CSK went onto win the match by five wickets.
“Chennai Super Kings’ home games in the VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL), 2018 will now be played at the Maharashtra Cricket Association’s International Stadium, Pune.
"The IPL Governing Council assessed the current situation in Chennai and a decision was taken to shift the matches from the MA Chidambaram Stadium to Pune,” an IPL media release said on Thursday.
