Here's how specially-abled fan in Assam won hearts of Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and co
Virat Kohli and co were in Guwahati recently, where they played David Warner-led Australia in the second T20.
Guwahati: In a kind gesture, Abhijit Gotani, a specially-abled youngster from Assam,earlier this week gifted Team India captain Virat Kohli and former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni sketched images of the two cricketers.
The 23-year-old Abhijit is an avid cricket fan, and was willing to personally present the gifts to the duo, but could not make it due to personal reasons.
Team India’s members, with this gesture, were deeply touched, and assured to find some time and receive the gifts.
According to Time8.com, an NGO named ‘Friends of Earth’ will present the sketches to both the Indian cricket team members on behalf of the Assam youngster.
Virat Kohli-led India recently played the second T20 against David Warner’s Australia at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium here, where the Aussies clinched a series-levelling eight-wicket victory.
It was a match-winning spell of 4-21 from four overs by Jason Behrendorff and a 109-run partnership between Moises Henriques and Travis Head which set up just their second win in their current limited-overs tour.
Their only win before this, came in the fourth ODI at the M Chinaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, when they defeated the hosts by 21 runs.
Both the teams will face each other for one final time in the series as they play the third T20 at Hyderabad on Friday.
