Dubai: The charges of fixing a cricket match have comeback to haunt the Pakistan Cricket Board. The recent charges have brought back the memories of the summer of 2010, when three Pakistani internationals – Salman Butt, Mohammad Amir and Mohammead Asif – were banned for spot-fixing.

On Friday, two more cricketers - Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif – were provisionally suspended by PCB on charges of corruption, while left-arm pacer Mohammad Irfan was questioned by authorities.

Pakistan's former Test captain Ramiz Raja has slammed the cricketers suspended on charges of match-fixing.

When asked on geo.tv that whether he would like to see Sharjeel and Khalid back to playing cricket after serving their punishments, Ramiz said: "Over my dead body."

“It will also hurt PSL and people would start questioning the credibility of PSL. We have worked really hard to lift this league up and I am very hurt to see all these happenings. I would recommend a total ban on them if they’re proven guilty, they have nothing to do with cricket, they don’t want to learn and every time hang our head in shame," said Ramiz.
