Team India batsman Yuvraj Singh fails Yo-Yo test, Cheteshwar Pujara clears
On October 9, the BCCI had made passing the Yo-Yo test mandatory for all Team India players to be available for national selection.
Mumbai: Indian middle-order batsman Yuvraj Singh’s hopes of making a comeback to Virat Kohli’s side has taken a blow, after he was confirmed to have failed the Yo-Yo endurance test. Yuvraj, who last played an international match for India in an ODI against West Indies, was dropped from the limited overs series against West Indies and Australia, after reportedly failing the Yo-Yo test.
Meanwhile, Saurashtra batsman Cheteshwar Pujara, who had taken the test along with Yuvraj, is said to have passed the test.
Just a day back, on Thursday, Indian all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin had taken to Twitter to share his happy news of passing the mandatory test.

After having comfortably clinched the ODI series 4-1, the Men in Blue eased to an nine-wicket win in the first T20, after which they went down to David Warner’s men by eight wickets. Australia’s limited overs tour to India will come to a close with the deciding T20 on Friday.
