Aadudam Andhra cricket match organised in Vizag
Visakhapatnam: State industries minister Gudivada Amarnath, along with cricketer Ambati Rayudu, inaugurated a friendly cricket match at the DLB Port Stadium as part of the Aadudam Andhra programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Amarnath said Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is very keen on promoting sports among youth as well as increasing the sportsman spirit among them.
Former minister Avanti Srinivas, who was also present, said the Chief Minister himself is a sportsman even though he is busy in his daily life. In this regard, he recalled that the CM has allocated ₹250 crore for sports in the budget.
Ambati Rayudu, who attended the program as the chief guest, said sports does not know caste and religion. “It is the only platform where all human beings are the same,” he remarked.
Before the cricket match, YSRC youth wing took out a procession on bikes from Marripalem VUDA Colony and reached DLB Port Stadium. YSRC’s regional coordinator Y.V. Subbareddy flagged off the procession, which was led by Minister Amarnath on his bike.
