Hyderabad: BDL’s B. Yatin Reddy slammed a century while E. Sree Charan, Mir Syed Ali and Y. Jagadish Kumar took five-wicket hauls to emerge Thursday’s star performers in the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s top division three-day league matches played at various venues here.
Yatin struck an outstanding 113 off 152 balls which contained 10 boundaries. K. Sumanth was next best, with an unbeaten 61 as BDL drew with Andhra Bank, who folded for 241 as Mohammed Muddasir Hussain snapped four wickets. BDL were 237 for 3 in their second innings at the end of play.
In another, Hyderabad Bottling scored an eight-wicket win over AOC as left-arm spinner Charan took 5 for 46 to bowl out AOC for a paltry 155 in their second innings. Bottling replied with 175 for 2 in their second innings to take five points from the game.
In another match, Mir Syed Ali’s 5 for 61 skittled India Cements for just 188 to hand an innings victory to Gemini Friends, who had amassed 344 in their first innings.
In another match, SCRSA’s Y. Jagadish Kumar played a key role in dismantling Evergreen for a mere 139 in their second innings as he returned with figures of 5 for 46. The right-arm mediumpacer’s fine line bowled SCRSA to a nine-wicket win.
