KPL first phase moved to Hubballi

Consequent to the swapping of phases, the T20 tournament will begin on Sept. 17.

Bengaluru: Due to incessant riots across the state over the last few days, the fifth edition of the Karnataka Premier League scheduled to be held in Mysuru from Friday, has been moved to Hubbali.

The KPL Governing Council which met on Tuesday decided to swap the phases between the two cities -- Mysuru and Hubbali. Thus, the first phase will now be held at the KSCA Stadium in Rajnagar, Hubbali.

Consequent to the swapping of phases, the T20 tournament will begin on Sept. 17. The Hubbali leg will end on Sept. 26 and following a day’s rest, the second and final stage will be played in Mysuru from Sept. 28 to October 2.
