Mumbai: The Board of Cricket in India (BCCI) announced Team India’s squad for the upcoming home series against Australia that saw Virat Kohli return as ODI and T20 captain.

KL Rahul made the cut after battling off field controversies, being included for the first two ODIs and the T20I series while Rishabh Pant and Jasprit Bumrah also made a return.

The surprise inclusion was that of Punjab wrist-spinner Mayank Markande after his impressive showing for India A. Pacer Siddarth Kaul was also selected while youngster Khaleel Ahmed was rested after being involved in Australia and New Zealand's limited over tours.

The five-match ODI series will start in Hyderabad on March 2 followed by matches in Nagpur (March 5), Ranchi (March 8), Mohali (March 10) and Delhi (March 13).

The team for the two T20 International matches to be played in Visakhapatnam (February 24) and Bengaluru (February 27) will also be announced on the same day.
