Mohammed Shami makes a big statement on patch-up with wife Hasin Jahan
Hasin Jahan had on March 7 claimed that Mohammed Shami had illicit affairs.
Mumbai: Out-of-contract Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami has admitted that his hopes of reuniting with wife Hasin Jahan are over as the rift between them continues to get ugly.

Hasin Jahan had on March 7 claimed that Shami had illicit affairs. Later, on the same day, the pacer was dropped from the BCCI player contracts’ list.
"All hopes of re-uniting with my wife are over," Shami was quoted saying to India Today.

His wife had reportedly claimed that Shami had forced her to a physical relationship with his brother.
"I have evidence to prove my innocence. We were playing a Test from December 2-6. On December 6th, we attended Bhuvi's (Bhuvneshwar Kumar's) reception at the Taj in Delhi.
"We checked out on December 7 at 10 AM. It was about 3.30 PM by the time we reached our hometown. That is the day she accused my brother of rape,” the 27-year-old continued.
"I was wearing a sleeveless jacket. Later on, when I reached the farmhouse, she pinged to ask why I was wearing a sleeveless jacket. My brother does not stay with me. He does not even come in the picture," he added.

On March 9, an FIR was filed against him in charges of attempt to rape and domestic violence. Shami was also retained by Delhi Daredevils (DD) by Rs 3 crore in the IPL players’ auction. However, it remains to be seen if he will be eligible to participate in the tournament which kicks off on April 7.
