Virat Kohli better than Sachin Tendulkar: Imran
Former Pakistan skipper rates India Test skipper higher on temperament.
Mumbai: Cricket found a new debate ever since Virat Kohli happened — is he better than the iconic Sachin Tendulkar? Former Pakistan skipper Imran Khan – who saw Tendulkar right from his debut – believes Kohli has a better temperament than the Master Blaster.
According to reports, Khan said that the sport had its own eras – the eighties had Viv Richards and then, Brian Lara and Sachin Tendulkar in the nineties but Kohli is a complete cricketer.
Khan called the India Test skipper versatile for his ability to play on both feet, chase under pressure.
However, Khan did not undermine Tendulkar’s technique; he said that Kohli has a better temperament. Why? The 27-year-old has been able to perform in difficult situations where Tendulkar failed at times.
The veteran was present during the India-Pakistan rubber in the ICC World Twenty20 at Eden Gardens where Kohli scored a half-century.
