T10 League: Shahid Afridi makes Virender Sehwag hat-trick victim

Sharjah: Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi's created history as he became the first bowler in T10 format to take  hat trick as Pakhtoons side defeated Virender Sehwag-led Maratha Arabians by 25 runs in the second match of the T10 League at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Thursday..

In the first match of the  tournament, Ireland’s Paul Stirling's unbeaten 66 helped Kerala Kings beat Bengal Tigers by eight wickets

Afridi claimed the hat-trick with the first three balls of the fourth over to destroy Arabians, who were on course to achieve the target of 122 runs on the back of England's Alex Hales who scored 26-ball unbeaten 57.

The legendary Pakistani leg-spinner's picked up wickets of  South Africa's Rilee Rossouw, who was caught  at long-on by Najibullah Zadran before trapping West Indian Dwayne Bravo plumb in front in the second delivery.

Sehwag who came into bat after Bravo’s dismissal failed to read slider delivery to be trapped in front to give the leg spinner his hat trick.
