Mumbai: Twitter went berserk after Virat Kohli scored 17th ODI hundred in a chase as India pulled off a heist to beat England chasing 351 in Pune on Sunday. Although the Eoin Morgan-led unit put up their highest total against India in the 50-overs cricketer, they could not win the game even after reducing India to 63 for 4.
Kohli and Kedar Jadhav (120 runs from 76 balls) stole England’s march and powered India to 1-0 lead in the three-match ODI series at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium.
Twitter could not hold back after Kohli, who took over India’s limited-overs captaincy from Mahendra Singh Dhoni, once again starred in India’s win.
