Mumbai: Indian Premier League (IPL) chairman Rajeev Shukla has stated that necessary action will be taken against cricketer Mohammed Shami once the Committee of Administrators (CoA) submits its report.

In a further development in the Mohammed Shami-Hasin Jahan saga, the latter’s lawyer Zakir Hussain on Thursday had sent details of the complaint to CoA chairmain Vinod Rai.

Rai had then instructed Neeraj Kumar, BCCI’s Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) chief to investigate the corruption charges against Shami by his wife.

According to Zee News, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will reveal the investigation report ahead of the IPL, staring on April 7.

It all started on March 7 when Hasin Jahan claimed that the 27-year-old Shami had extra-marital affairs.

On March 9, Shami was booked under the charges of attempt to murder and domestic violence by his wife.

Meanwhile, the cricketer has recently revealed that he has lost all hopes of reuniting with his wife.
