Mithali Raj schools troll after being mocked for late Independence Day Twitter post
The Indian women's cricket team ODI captain came up with a prompt reply to the troll.
Mumbai: India celebrated its 72nd Independence Day on Wednesday and not only fans but also sports personalities celebrated the historic occasion.
Later on Thursday, Indian women’s cricket team ODI captain Mithali Raj took to Twitter and also wished her followers.
Wishing India, freedom from hunger, poverty, discrimination, sexism, abuse & greed. We have had 72 years to build ourselves in the manner we want to be defined. Are we close? Lives were lost so we could breathe free. Let's honour those sacrifices. Jai Hind,” she wrote.

However, a troll soon tried to pester her for her post which was a day late. But the legendary batswoman, who is not known to hold back (on and off the field) came up with a prompt reply.
I'm honored that you think I'm a celebrity. I'm merely an athlete on national duty since 1999. We have the challengers trophy going on and I don't have the phone with me on the field or off it on Match days. Hope that's a good enough reason for the delay? Happy Independence Day. https://t.co/nCJkkXEOyV
