Mumbai: On Day 2 of the first test between Sri Lanka and New Zealand, a very funny incident took place. Trent Boult, while trying to paddle sweep a delivery from spinner Lasith Embuldeniya, found a leading edge as the ball got trapped inside his own helmet.

What made this incident hilarious is that after it had taken place, Boult tried to run away from the Sri Lankan fielders as they circled him and tried to get the ball. Everyone had a good laugh after this incident and even the commentators joined in on the fun.

New Zealand won the toss and chose to bat. They scored 249 runs in the first innings. In response, Sri Lanka had scored 227 for seven at stumps on Day Two.

Ross Taylor was the standout performer for New Zealand in their first innings, scoring 86 runs. Meanwhile, Kusal Medis and Angelo Mathews struck a good partnership between them for Sri Lanka.
