Here's what India skipper Virat Kohli said on Mohammad Amir as Aamir Khan watched on
The Indian cricketer and Bollywood superstar appeared on a chat show.
Mumbai: Team India skipper Virat Kohli is very vocal while sharing his opinion about his side or acknowledging his rival for their performance. That side of Kohli was visible as he appeared on a chat show alongside Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan.
While the two shook a leg on popular song Rang De Basanti and Dhinka Chika, Kohli also answered Aamir's cricketing queries.
Although India and Pakistan are arch-rivals, the cricketers from both the sides have won the hearts of their fans showing their camaraderie post the ICC Champions Trophy in July this year. While Azhar Ali lauded Indian team, the likes of Yuvraj Singh and Kohli were seen mingling with Shoaib Malik and Azhar Mahmood.
Kohli's admiration of another Pakistani cricketer - Mohammad Amir - was again on display as he spoke about the speedster on the show, which was aired on Zee TV on Sunday, ahead of Diwali.
Kohli praised Amir and rated him as one of the best bowlers he has faced.
Kohli said: “In the recent times, Mohammad Amir of Pakistan (keeps him on his toes). He is in the top two or three bowlers in the world and the toughest bowlers I have played in my career. You have to be on your ‘A’ Game when you’re facing him or he will strike. Outstanding! Very good bowler!”

However, this is not the first time when Kohli has spoken so highly of Amir. During last year Asia Cup, Kohli had lauded Amir, saying, "I have always believed that he (Amir) is a world class bowler and had he been around for the five years that he was banned, he would have certainly been a top three bowlers in the world. He has a lot of talent, has got pace, bounce a very good yorker.”
The Pakistani speedster, to his credit, had also shown his admiration for Kohli during a Twitter interaction earlier this year.
When a Twitter user asked Amir, who is the best batsman in the world?, Amir had named Kohli.
