Hyderabad: 22 year old dies after being accidentally hit by bat during cricket match

Hyderabad: A 22-year-old from Hyderabad died to injuries after being hit by a bat during a friendly cricket match in Bahadurpura district of Hyderabad.

Abdul Wajeed, the deceased, was playing cricket at Mir Alam Idgah on Sunday, when he got injured.

According to Bahadurpura Police Station inspector, Wajeed was fielding at the pitch when he was accidentally hit with a bat by a batsman.

Soon after the incident, Wajeed was taken to a state-run hospital, where he was declared dead.
