Mumbai: India head coach Anil Kumble told the team that each player will have to pay a fine of $50 from their pockets if they are late for the team bus in the tour of West Indies.

The tour of the Caribbean is Kumble’s debut as the principal of the squad led by Virat Kohli.

According to reports, the former India skipper – one of the greatest ever leg-break bowlers in the history of international cricket – brought in a new wave, with new rules, team bonding methods since his arrival as coach and this is one of them.

Discipline has been the foremost priority for Kumble – the taskmaster; he said that he is available to have a chat with players in case they face problems.

The 45-year-old made another change; the support staff can no longer be asked for favours – in terms of massage or any other thing – by players at their own free will. There will be a fixed schedule and time for masseurs.

Kumble, himself being a wildlife photographer, knows how to strike a balance between work and fun. He clearly planned the tenure well ahead of the tour of Caribbean. The drum jam, during the training camp in Benglauru, was the start of many new things.
